Koga EarthGear didn’t start as a business. It started as a moment, one of those life-defining moments that becomes etched into your soul and quietly influences everything that follows.

 

When I was sixteen, a group of false killer whales beached themselves near my home. I went down to the beach to help, not really knowing what to do, just following my instinct. I remember holding the head of one of those whales alongside other volunteers, its body impossibly heavy but suspended in the surging ocean, its breath fading. Then it looked directly into my eyes. Time stopped, I swear I felt it say thank you. In that instant, something cracked open inside me. I saw everything through fresh eyes, I understood life and nature like I never had before, I understood connection, this sacred energy that binds all things together in a beautiful oneness.

 

That moment changed how I saw everything: people, animals, the planet itself. From there, my path shifted, and in time, Koga was born.

 

Koga EarthGear grew from that moment. A simple, grounded intention: to honour the planet through living in harmony with nature, doing what is right. I realised it began with my choices. My choices began in choosing clothing and gear for myself that lasts longer, has less impact, and encourages others to make better choices. My art and my passion for the planet and the sea merged into an idea, an idea where a future could exist where humans lived in harmony with the Earth rather than in conflict with it. A future built on common sense, responsibility, and respect. I took my life experience and threw all of my knowledge and experience into the melting pot, my marketing background, my passion for art, my years of living shamanic way, my business experience and my desire to see real change on this planet and then Koga EarthGear was born. 

 

Every piece we create is guided by a simple philosophy: what you wear should reflect the world you love and want to protect. Our gear is crafted using eco-friendly materials, including recycled sources such as sea plastics and pre-landfill materials, combined with responsible processes and durable designs made for life on Earth.
